Winamp 5 - A Real Update?
The new version of Winamp, Winamp 5, has been dubbed as the "Real Update," and it includes support for a wide range of audio and video formats, as well as a number of other new features. And for those you who still yearn for the good old days, the team is also working on a "Vintage Mode" that will bring the classic Winamp interface back to beating life. It's great to see Winamp back from the dead, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this classic media player.

The media-player software was recently acquired by Radionomy, and there were plans to relaunch the player later in 2019, but it did not come to fruition. While it remains to be seen is whether Winamp can recapture its former glory, there's no doubt that the player holds a special place in the hearts of music lovers.
Future Plans
With all of these things being said, in my very limited (read as one to four times) trial of the "real update" of this latest media plarer update, it is, however, an old (read as very, very, very OLD) software by today's app fashions. It isn't made for the latest high-density and high-resolution screens. This will cause many usability issues, and that is mainly contingent upon what you'll by attempting to use this on (tablet, mobile, PC, Smartphone, Smart TV).
However, for all of you out there who are keeping the light of hope still alive, it is good to have something familiar on Winamp.com which is not come uncanny NFT undertaking, and they have promised to provide updates in the years henceforth.
